Overview
The
Har Ki Dun trek unfolds like a storybook journey, beginning at the quaint
village of Sankri. As trekkers weave through ancient forests and charming
meadows, they’re greeted by panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, including
Swargarohini and Bandarpooch. The trail, marked by the gushing Supin River,
leads to the idyllic Har Ki Dun valley, known as the “Valley of Gods.”
En
route, trekkers encounter a diverse range of flora and fauna, from oak and pine
forests to Himalayan birds like the Monal. The highlight of the trek is the
surreal Har Ki Dun valley itself, surrounded by alpine meadows and flanked by
towering peaks. Trekkers often find solace in the tranquil Osla village, known
for its centuries-old temples and warm hospitality.
